Using many small needles in a Bella Microneedling Pen to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin, Microneedling is a treatment that can be used on the face for the treatment of:
How Much Microneedling Cost?
Face • $250
Chest • $250
Neck • $100
Anyone can receive a microneedling treatment. It is used to improve the overall appearance of the facial skin through superficial plumping and the stimulation of natural healing. Because the needles allow other anti-aging and plumping treatments to penetrate the skin deeper we also recommend combining microneedling with other treatments.
There is minimal preparation for this treatment. You should be prepared to discuss other treatments and routines that you use or are receiving at Qwella. Gather information on the ingredients in your products, and let your treatment specialist know if you’re getting any other procedures or services done. If you have any open sores or skin breaks, wait until they have healed before booking your treatment.
We will prepare your skin by cleaning it thoroughly to remove any makeup, dirt, or dead skin cells. We will then apply a lidocaine cream over the entire face to numb the skin for the treatment. We allow about 30 minutes for the cream to take effect, and the actual microneedling treatment only takes about 30 minutes as well!
After a microneedling treatment your facial skin will be red, tender, and sore for a few days depending on your skin type. Be careful not to rub, use acidic products, or wear makeup on the affected area until the redness goes down and the skin is no longer tender. Otherwise, you will begin to see smoother and plumper skin about a week after the treatment. If your skin stays red longer than a week please contact Qwella Medical Spa to let us know.
There is no required number of sessions for effective microneedling treatment, but for longer-lasting results you can get the treatment monthly for as long as you would like. It is up to you how often you would like to receive the treatment, but you can see results from just one treatment.
After about four treatments the skin may produce more collagen and elastin which can help with facial plumping and elasticity. Be careful not to overdo this treatment as it can damage the skin, and always make sure to heal fully before returning for another treatment.
There are little to no risks when it comes to getting microneedling. This treatment does cause some pinpoint bleeding, but this is actually necessary for the healing process and will help the skin produce new collagen and elastin.
After a few days your skin may begin to peel and it is important that you don’t pick, scratch, or use exfoliating or acidic products during this time. It’s important that you allow your skin to fully heal because it allows for that fresh smooth texture.
Microneedling is a simple treatment that can make a big difference! If you want to see what all the hype is about, contact us today by filling out the form or give us a call @ (801) 571-7710.
