Chemical Peel - Smoother, Healthier Skin

Any woman seeking younger, smoother, and healthier looking skin should try the beautifying effects of the chemical peels offered at our Medical Spa in South Jordan, Utah.

These treatments are often referred to as "lunchtime peels" because of their quick and un-invasive nature. Each treatment usually lasts around 15 to 20 minutes.

Chemical peels remove the top layer of dead cells on your skin, revealing a new layer that is more vibrant and smoother in texture. These peels smooth and eliminate fine lines, minor skin discolorations (such as "age" spots), and dry patches known as solar keratoses. They?re also very beneficial in treating acne as well as removing or minimizing old acne scars.

At Qwella Medical Spa we offer a variety of chemical peels. Once we have examined your skin more closely, we will be able to determine which peel would produce the best results for you. Our patients often see noticeably healthier, younger looking skin as soon as the first day after a chemical peel treatment.

What to expect: Your skin will first be cleansed with acetone or isopropyl alcohol. Then the peel will be applied and removed. During the application of the peel you may experience a numbing and/or stinging sensation, but this effect is usually very mild. No anesthesia is needed.

For a few days after treatment, your skin will look slightly reddened, and it may peel slightly. Some patients also experience some dryness of the peel area. This side effect is usually very minor and can be relieved with a simple moisturizer.

You will be able to return to your everyday daily activities immediately after the treatment is finished. It is highly recommended that you wear sunscreen for several weeks after this treatment during exposure to the sun, as your skin will be more vulnerable than usual to sunburn.
